On Wednesday, December 21st, 1928 a public meeting was held in the Council Chamber to form a branch of the Old Cornwall Society in Newquay. A number of members have been honoured with Bardships of the Gorseth Kernow, the Gorsedd of Cornwall.
Programme of talks about Old Newquay - All meetings are held at the Women's Institute Hall, Crantock Street, Newquay.
Local Guided Walks - A series of walks are being offered on behalf of the Society. Raising funds for a Museum for Newquay.
Room 27 is the home of their Archive Collection of Local History Documents. It is open to the public each Wednesday between 10am and 4pm, but they suggest you confirm this with their Curator before making a special journey.
