Perranporth Golf Club

Perranporth Golf Club can offer a challenging 18 hole championship links course designed in 1927 by five times Open Champion James Braid, a fine golf course designer. A tribute to the original design is that the original layout has not needed any change. The scenic course demands concentration for every shot. It is nevertheless suitable for both low and high handicappers.

James Braid took full advantage of the natural contours of the land giving each hole an individual character. James Braid liked the idea of blind holes and the lie of the land gave him ample scope in making seven of the eighteen holes 'blind'. Markers have been used to clearly indicate the correct line to the greens.

Perranporth Golf Course is a seaside course with magnificent views of the North Cornwall coastline overlooking the Atlantic Ocean. The fairways are typical links texture providing good, firm lies for wood and iron shots to the greens. The 5th & 14th tees have particularly noteworthy views. The greens are hard and fast, and are absolutely true. The excellent natural drainage, makes the course playable all the year round.

Handicap certificate may be required.
