Penstraze is an area of miners' smallholdings west of Truro, in contrast to the fields of medieval origin around them, the miners holding can be seen as distinctly different.
Because of the contribution of such areas to the value of the proposed World Heritage Site, the HES Countryside Advice Service is making the case that they should be targeted for beneficial management under agri-environment schemes such as Countryside Stewardship
