Holywell Bay is a small village on the north coast of Cornwall about 5 miles from Newquay (and 5 miles from Perranporth). Holywell Bay beach is a large, sandy beach with rolling dunes behind the beach, rock pools and a slow running stream that is a magnet for children in the summer.
Holywell Bay surf here is usually quite good and there is a Life Guard Patrol throughout the summer.
Holywell Bay village has two pubs (Treguth Inn a beautiful 13th century thatched inn and former farmhouse is the more interesting of the two, and St Pirans Inn which is closer to the beach), shops and 1 ½ miles away at Cubert there is a garage, Post Office, restaurant and two more pubs. There is a golf course, and a large leisure park with attractions including go-karts.
