I am very enthusiastic about local smoked produce.
We buy ours from Atlantis Smoked Fish, Fore St, Grampound, near Truro. A great selection of oak smoked fish and meat. We get duck, chicken, mussels, haddock, mackerel, salmon, and all sorts of interesting things, packed full of flavour. I can say that this is the best smoked produce I have ever found anywhere.
Then at Charlestown, near St Austell, there is The Cornish Smoked Fish Company right on the quay. Its specialty is hot or cold smoked mackerel. But it of course does sell all the other smoked produce - trout, salmon, eels, trout, mussels, etc
Tregilda Smokehouse Tregida Smokehouse is a family run business producing traditional Cornish Oak smoked Fish, Meat and Game. They use traditional food smoking, combining old curing methods with the latest quality control and hygiene systems. Cornish Cuisine this is a traditional small smoke house based in Penryn, Cornwall and have been happily smoking for 20 years producing some of the finest smoked foods available. Cornish Cuisine produces smoked salmon, duck, chicken, game, and cheeses using small scale traditional smoking methods.
Rick Steins Delicatessen in Padstow does not produce, but sells a wide range of smoked produce if you are in that neck of the wood
